Wingate by Wyndham Bowling Green

This hotel was in a perfect location for our families spring break trip while we visited the Mamath Caves, Lost River Cave and the National Corvette Measume. Plenty of restaurants around and easy on/off of the main hwy. Breakfast being included was a plus. My boyfriend enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and the kids loved the waffles. The pool and hot tub were loved by all and we went in them all of the three nights we were there. The rooms were average size and nothing special, could use a little fixing up here and there and maybe some hooks on back of bathroom door or a rack above toilet for a place to hang towels but it was a place to sleep and shower. One thing I can say is that the parking lot was not very large in the front of the hotel and most spots already taken as times we came and went so we had to park on the side lot which is on a slanted hill and it's a pain in the butt getting in and out. We would still stay again as the price for what you get was the best we found around.

A/C was extremely dusty, room wasn't cleaned well, ice bucket smelled like vomit, TV wouldn't allow me to watch anything with internet or connect to the internet, noisy you will hear a lot of cars and ambulances through the night, roaches and beetles in front entrance, elevator was rough and the certificate expired 10/2024.

Elevator seems to have been last maintained in the 90’s, as the cabling can be heard throughout the entire ride. Upon entering our room, we were met with a strong and overwhelming aroma of cigarette smoke. As I did not want to be responsible for someone else’s smoking habit, I immediately went to the front desk to inform them. Do not stay here. Extremely disappointing customer service as well.

Overall good stay, bed is comfortable and breakfast is good. Strong smell of Indian food in the hallway, old, not clean looking carpet in the room and bathroom faucets do not look clean, shower gel bottle was empty, no tissues. Hotel was ranked 8.6 and I would give it more like 7.6. It was quiet. Windows do not open as in most hotels now days, taking away our choice to breathe fresh air.

We had a room that the air conditioning was not working, the front desk 'Lady' immediately moved us. She was very friendly and courtious.
